17th Conference of the International Society of Travel Medicine

19th to 22nd May 2021, online.

The 17th Conference of the International Society of Travel Medicine was initially planned to be held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic the congress will now be completely virtual. Despite the virtual platform, the meeting will have Malaysian flair, cultural inclusions and regional influence as it relates to travel medicine.

The Conference theme is “The Changing Face of Travel Medicine Anticipating its Global Impact”. Despite the virtual format, the Scientific Program Committee is working diligently to ensure a quality programme, equivalent to congresses from years past. The Secretariat will email registrants more details about the virtual platform, optional training, and how to log on for an optimal experience as the event date approaches.

Topics covered in the conference

  • Global impact of travel
  • Healthcare abroad
  • Migration and travel for work
  • Travel medicine and the travel industry
  • Travel medicine in a virtual world
  • The science of travel health
