These include Dr Dan Nightingale, a leading dementia doctor from the UK, Dr Simon Duff and Dr Roger Bullock, Tony Duke and Dr. Gary Fitzgerald, Chief Executive Officer; Action on Elderly Abuse, also from the UK, Kathleen Nightingale, Karen Zeller and Lisa O’Toole from the USA.

Controversial topics such as the use of hypnotherapy in dementia, the use of doll therapy and sex and sexual relationships in a care facility will make up some of the workshops and presentations.  Additionally Montessori Therapy, Activities for the Mind, Seated Exercises for People Living with Dementia, and many other topics will be covered.  One of the highlights is the opening keynote by Ole and Ellie Olson.  Ole is living with dementia and they will take you through their very own unique and moving journey through dementia. They will also facilitate a workshop.

The Conference also added a ‘Brain Power Yoga’ class that will be taught by Kirti Khalsa, COO of the Alzheimer’s Research and Prevention Foundation.  There will be a Lunchtime Debate on day two from 12:50 to 1:15.  Motion by Dr. Daniel Nightingale:  Due to modern day technology, the human brain is becoming less active which may be a contributing factor to young onset dementia.  Dr. Roger Bullock will counter this motion.

There will also be 12 exhibitions to view and an opportunity to meet the speakers. Of course, lunch and refreshments will be provided and delegate packs complete with useful and practical information.

International Dementia Conference is also offering a group rate:  Sign up three or more people, and get $50 off per ticket!
