The Leeds Institute of Health Sciences is part of the University of Leeds’ School of Medicine. The Institute hosts the Nuffield Centre for International Health and Development which has been a major international resource for education, research and technical assistance in health and development for over 30 years.

In 2015-2016 we expect to welcome students from more than 26 countries to the Institute and our alumni network includes graduates from over 41 countries worldwide. Our graduates go on to work with ministries of health, international organisations, non-governmental organisations, universities, consulting firms, public and private health providers all around the world, including the UK.

MSc International Hospital Management

The MSc International Hospital Management equips you with the skills and knowledge to deliver high-quality, accessible and affordable hospital services. It is one of only two UK programmes focusing on hospitals in countries with developing health systems.

MPH Public Health (International)

This programme provides public health professionals with an understanding of the health needs of populations and how to effectively intervene to strengthen health systems and improve health in an international context.

MSc International Health

This programme is an ideal introduction to international health for students with limited experience in the sector. It has a strong emphasis on research methods training – an essential grounding if you intend to work in international health policy, systems or programmes, or to study at PhD level.

MA Health Management, Planning and Policy

This programme deals with the management, planning and policy issues facing providers of health services in countries with developing health systems. It will help you acquire the skills necessary for building new health services and improving existing ones

MSc Health Informatics

Healthcare demand is exceeding supply worldwide and there is a need for radical solutions. Innovative IT approaches are transforming healthcare. Health providers and leading multinationals are investing massively in technology and demand for qualified health informatics professionals is high.

MSc Health Economics

Health economics is central to today’s healthcare sector. Trained and skilled health economists are in demand as the requirement for more advanced and expensive healthcare puts pressure on policy decisions
