Course Content
Two training module blocks of three months duration each and a defense period of about ten days duration take place at the LMU in Munich.
1. Module Block I: Basic health and research education, establishing a common level of knowledge with special emphasis on health challenges in low- and middle-income-countries; courses in research and transferable skills, statistics, epidemiology and in-tercultural communication.
2. Module Block II: Specialized advanced training modules

Capacity building for health professionals in low- and middle-income countries
Target Audience
Its three-year curriculum has been specifically designed for health professionals, who are able to choose from a wide range of disciplines for their research topics.
Qualifications
Successfully completed university bachelor and master degree in a health related discipline, or medical school degree, or adequate equivalent education at the time of application, which admits enrollment within a doctoral study program in Germany.
