Access to medicines: Why high prices of new medicines are detrimental for poor people and public health in developing countries


Description
Ill health reinforces poverty in developing countries. Women have the least access to health services when they are ill, whilst also providing care for sick members of the family. Most poor people lack insurance, paying for treatments out of the family budget.
