Over recent years, primary care has been faced with a growing number of challenges which impact both the public who use it, and the healthcare professionals working within these settings. Patients are experiencing difficulties accessing urgent care, creating a direct impact on GP’s and their ability to facilitate continuity of care to patients who need it. To add to this pressure, primary care teams are finding themselves increasingly stretched beyond capacity.
