In order to meet these needs for a more holistic approach to Disaster Management, the University of Copenhagen and Lund University are offering their joint multidisciplinary expertise in the form of a master programme, based on the philosophy of Disaster Risk Reduction, Response and Recovery.

The Master of Disaster Management aims to provide the appropriate skills for disaster management at a national and international level in areas of natural and man made disaster, climate change, and terrorism.

National and international aid workers, government officials and other professionals interested in any or all parts of Disaster Management with a solid and holistic interdisciplinary background

Typical postgraduate careers and job opportunities
A master degree in Disaster Management is helpful or even required when working for national and international emergency agencies, relief organisations, national governments, the UN system and private companies.

Qualifications
A bachelor\'s degree or equivalent in a relevant field of study (eg. health sciences, social sciences, engineering, etc.) and at least 2 years of relevant working experience
