Course Content
This three-day course takes participants from the basic anatomy of normal hearts and simple congenital malformations, through to the more complex defects, and the conduction system, with live video demonstrations. The hands-on component (practicals) allows attendees to examine specimens under the guidance of tutors. This unique course of applied morphology is recommended for all professionals who manage and treat patients with congenital heart disease, from the foetus to adults.
Learning objectives, training objectives
It allows participants to appreciate the arrangement of the malformations in 3-dimensions and is particularly suitable for trainees in paediatric cardiology, adult cardiology, intensive care, neonatology, and cardiac surgery.
