Course Content
Analysis of health care organisation; Health economics including general concepts as well as health care financing and the application of economic analysis to health planning and decision-making; Health system performance; Human resources for health: Impact of the HIV epidemic on development and the health sectors; Equity in access to prevention, treatment and care of HIV; Health systems strengthening and integration; Human Rights and health; Stewardship and governance, Essential medicines.
Learning objectives, training objectives
Explain the core components of a health system; Analyse the organisation and interactions of different types of health systems; Understand health systems from different points of views; Analyse the impact of different health systems on outcomes.
Target Audience
Doctors, economists, midwives, nurses, psychologists, public health specialists, political scientists and social scientists. Persons with other related educational backgrounds are also invited to submit an application.
Qualifications
A Bachelors or Masters degree in a relevant field (e.g. health sciences, social sciences, etc.) or an equivalent qualification from a recognized higher education institution; At least two years of relevant work experience; Proof of English proficiency; Basic IT/computer Skills
Certifications
Accredited by the Danish Agency for Accreditation in September 2009.
