Course Content
This is an online modular certificate program for working professionals to enhance capacity for interprofessional practice in rehabilitation and disability sectors. It consists of five modules to be taken in sequence within eight months beginning January 10, 2011. Modules include: Disability, CBR and Development; Disability and Rehabilitation Research and Evaluation; Gender, Disability and Health; Building Effective Interprofessional Teams and Managing Disability Projects at the Community Level.
Learning objectives, training objectives
Learners will:
Examine relationships between disability, CBR and community development; Strengthen capacity to use research/evaluation evidence;
Analyze interaction between disability, gender and health;
Practice team building;
Develop action plan.

The program prepares learners for careers in international development, including leadership and management positions in governmental development agencies, NGOs, and advocacy groups as well as practitioners in rehabilitation and disability sectors.

5 years of experience in disability and rehabilitation
Notes
This is a fully online program which will use tutorials, asynchronous online discussions, documentaries, video, online documents and art to engage virtual learning teams to solve real life problems. Assessment will include a short written assignment.
