Key contents: Epidemiological (regional and global) trends; Social, political, and cultural causes; Comprehensive approaches of HIV-programmes including preventive action (mainstreaming); Engagement of Christian institutions; Personal exposure to HIV and AIDS; Interaction between the personal field of activity and HIV and AIDS; Political advocacy;

Aim of the course: Identification of the causes and consequences of the HIV and AIDS pandemic; project-related and political courses of action.
Target Audience
Target group: Professionals (pastoral assistants, development workers, members of orders etc.) planning to implement development cooperation programmes or who will shortly leave for an assignment abroad.
