The course covers the evolution of the HIV pandemic and current epidemiological trends in HIV transmission including national, regional and local differences and minority populations. Teaching on HIV transmission and HIV and AIDS prevention will focus on drivers of the HIV epidemic e.g. legal, social, cultural and individual factors, coinfection with sexually transmitted infections, illicit drug use, and risk taking behaviour and perception. Further, the course will cover immunology and virology.

Doctors, economists, midwives, nurses, psychologists, public health specialists, political scientists and social scientists. Persons with other related educational backgrounds are also invited to submit an application.

Prerequisiti
A Bachelors or Masters degree in a relevant field (e.g. health sciences, social sciences, etc.) or an equivalent qualification from a recognized higher education institution; At least two years of relevant work experience; Proof of English proficiency; Basic IT/computer Skills
