Much attention has been focused recently on the shortage of numbers of clinical health professionals, but as country health systems reform to take account of changing health needs, changing demographics and globalisation, planners must consider radical ways to make the health workforce more responsive and sustainable. Human resource management for health systems are inadequate almost everywhere and the role is often allocated to people with no relevant background.

These short courses/workshops are designed for planners and professionals new to Human Resources for Health who wish to gain skills and insights into planning, managing and developing their workforce towards sustained growth in capacity.

Destinatario
We would expect at least five years work experience in the health or social care system and participants should be reasonably fluent in English

No formal pre-requisites are need to join the short course

Certificación
Participants will receive a certificate of attendance at the end of the course. Those who wish to gain formal academic credit or switch to a full postgraduate award may do so on completion of set course assessments

Each course runs for three hours in either the morning of afternoon for two working weeks. Queen Margaret University, Edinburgh is located in a new campus on the east side of the beautiful and lively capital of Scotland.
