Course Content

This introductory course provides an overview of the causes, mechanisms and management of diabetes from both a clinical management and a drug development perspective. Our expert speaker will introduce the pathogenesis of the disease and discuss current prevention and treatment options as well as the complications associated with diabetes. The complex inter-relationship with dyslipidaemias, hypertension, obesity and subsequent cardiovascular risk will be examined in some detail.
