International Course in Epidemiology, Biostatistics & Qualitative Research Methods

The EBQ offers a profound 6-weeks training on the basic principles and methods of epidemiology. An in-depth study of medical statistics with appropriate statistical methods is integrated with the main epidemiological content. Basic principles of qualitative methods will be explained and introductory lectures on systematic reviews, health economics and cost-effectiveness are also scheduled. Throughout the whole course each participant can work with his/her own data set.

Lernziele, Trainingsziele
Weeks 1, 2 and 3 are mainly focused on quantitative study design, with elements of biostatistics and qualitative research. In weeks 4 and 5, the focus is on biostatistics and practical exercises. The last week ends with qualitative research.

Zielpublikum
Researchers/PhD students from different disciplines and faculties are accepted.
