4-week course offered by the University of Copenhagen. Content:
Advanced HIV immunology; Acute and chronic immune activation;Immune modulation; Advanced HIV virology; HIV Subtypes; Virological and immunological effects of co-infections; Natural resistance; Resistance development; Resistance (web-based) interpretation systems; Future drug targets. Teaching methodologies: 45-minute lectures;Group work and discussions;Exercises; Oral presentations and field trips
Lernziele, Trainingsziele
This module aims at giving students a profound knowledge of the complex interaction between human immunological factors, general virological and specific HIV factors influencing disease progression, and failure or success of current treatment.
Zielpublikum
Doctors, economists, midwives, nurses, psychologists, public health specialists, political scientists and social scientists. Persons with other related educational backgrounds are also invited to submit an application.
Qualifikationen
A Bachelors or Masters degree in a relevant field (e.g. health sciences, social sciences, etc.) or an equivalent qualification from a recognized higher education institution; At least two years of relevant work experience; Proof of English proficiency; Basic IT/computer Skills

Accredited by the Danish Agency for Accreditation in September 2009.
