As part of a planned succession process, we are seeking an experienced medical leader
to take responsibility for the management and strategic 
development of the geriatric rehabilitation department.

Chief Physician (m/f/d) Geriatric Medicine 

Our client is a well-established geriatric rehabilitation centre in Southern Germany offering both inpatient and mobile rehabilitation services. The facility is supported by an experienced interdisciplinary team and follows a holistic treatment approach aimed at improving independence, mobility and quality of life for older adults. 
The Location is in the Southern Germany – attractive region offering a high quality of life, excellent infrastructure and a wide range of leisure and recreational opportunities

Your Responsibilities: 

  • Medical, organisational and strategic leadership of the geriatric rehabilitation department
  • Ensuring high-quality, patient-centred care and treatment standards
  • Further development of geriatric treatment concepts and rehabilitation services
  • Leadership, mentoring and professional development of the medical team
  • Close interdisciplinary collaboration with all professional groups and external healthcare partners
  • Responsibility for quality management, clinical documentation and economic performance
  • Representation of the organisation internally and externally
  • Participation in the on-call service 
     

Your Profile & Qualifications: 

Board certification in Internal Medicine, General Practice, Neurology, Physical and Rehabilitation Medicine or a related specialty
Additional qualification or recognised specialization in Geriatric Medicine
Experience in geriatric rehabilitation
Additional qualification in Social Medicine or Rehabilitation Medicine would be advantageous
Previous leadership experience or strong interest in a senior leadership role
Excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills
Strategic mindset combined with sound economic awareness
Enthusiasm for interdisciplinary collaboration and the further development of modern geriatric care concepts 


For international applicants: 

  • Medical qualifications must be recognised in Germany or fulfil the requirements for recognition (Approbation)
  • Relevant specialist qualifications should be recognised within the EU or be eligible for equivalency assessment in Germany
  • German language proficiency at C1 level is required for patient care and interdisciplinary communication
