Course Content
The course comprises basic introductions about genetics of complex disorders, statistical genetics, genetic epidemiology, genome-wide association studies, meta-analysis, pharmacogenetics, translational research, risk prediction and genetic test evaluation. These introductions are illustrated in several guest lectures where researchers present ongoing genomics research at Erasmus MC and afiliated centers.
Target Audience
After this course, participants should be able to read and critically evaluate scientific research papers about gene discoveries, genome-wide association studies and genome-based prediction of common diseases.
Qualifications
Completed Master’s programme or equivalent knowledge.
