Course Content
The course will provide the necessary background information and tools that allow researchers to identify ethical issues in their research with human subjects (or their personal data) and ways to appropriately address them. We will specifically focus on what an ethics review committee looks for in a research protocol; what its primary concerns are; which ethics guidelines need to be adhered to; why informed consent is so important and how should a good
informed consent form look like.
Learning objectives, training objectives
By the end of the course, participants will have gained an understanding of the principles of research ethics, and have acquired practical skills how to meet the requirements of ethics review committees.
