Many patients with atrial fibrillation cannot take anticoagulation initially or have to stop it later due to complications. Even newly invented anticoagulants are often unsuitable for these patients.

LAA closure has become a reasonable alternative. LAA2021 will provide a comprehensive overview of left atrial appendage closure, including imaging, transseptal and pericardial access, step by step cases, management of complications, an overview of the most commonly used as well as of new devices.
