Advanced Focus Course Curriculum and Course Design in Medical Education

Kursinhalte
The participants will learn how to design a course or educational program. In this course we aim to provide the participants with the theoretical rationale, how-to information, and hands-on experiences to systematically design competence-based courses and educational programs. The theoretical basis is provided by the four-component instructional design model (4C/ID), which encompasses problem-based learning (PBL) as well as other task-oriented educational models.

During the course week the following topics will be covered:
Needs and task analysis
Sequencing decisions
Design of problems or learning tasks
Design of supportive and procedural information
Design of part-task practice

This course is intended for health professions education professionals and anyone with an interest in the design of courses and curricula based on active learning principles, including teachers, policy makers and instructional designers.

Work experience is with Health Professions Education as educator, teacher or program director.This courses leads to enhance Skill Disciplines Research Techniques, Project Management, Personal Effectiveness, Communication, Networking.
Qualifikationen
The working language is English. Given the format of some of the modules, active mastery of this language is required. IELTS 6.5 TOEFL paper-based test score 575 TOEFL iBT® 90
