This EPSRC meeting is meant to provide a valuable means of disseminating information and ideas through an informal and friendly atmosphere. This allows high quality discussion and interaction on evidence-based studies and translational research in all technical disciplines of plastic and reconstructive surgery, as well as related fields.
Characteristic of the EPSRC meeting is the opportunity to network with surgeons and scientists from around the world, to make new friends in addition to discussing unpublished research from and with leaders in the field. Attending the conference is distinguished faculty from the American Plastic Surgery Research Council (PSRC), the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS), American Association of Plastic Surgeons (AAPS) and the European Association of Plastic Surgeons (EURAPS).
Over 60 different departments from more than 62 cities from 35 countries and 15 international renowned Keynote speakers are contributing and exchanging the results of their work and their ideas. This year more than 160 abstracts have been received and only 25 % were accepted for oral presentations.
The first five EPSRC meetings were an outstanding success and concluded with thunderous applause ending this hugely successful event. Over 200 delegates participated on the MS Cap San Diego in Hamburg, Germany featuring renowned plastic surgery keynote speakers and much, much more.

The EPSRC is a non-profit organization managed by and for the benefit of the young plastic, reconstructive and aesthetic surgery research community. We are kindly requesting that all European national societies announce our next meeting aimed at young plastic surgery researchers. It will offer an exciting opportunity for young plastic surgery researchers to discuss their latest work and future challenges in a uniquely informal, interactive format for basic science and clinical outcome research.
